Spider U joint, also called cross universal joint / Cardan joint, consists of a four-arm cross-shaped spider (cross pin) , two yokes and needle roller bearings. It belongs to unequal velocity universal joints; a single spider U-joint causes rotational speed fluctuation, so it must be used in pairs to achieve uniform output speed.
